Description
The Department for Transport is looking to set up a contract for provision of specialist technical services via the Transport Technology Forum (TTF) to fulfil a known need for guidance, in the form of reports and online resources around barriers to innovation, (primarily procurement and cyber risks), and technology community support. This will consist of five packages; - Development of procurement best practice guidance in the form of reports and online resources for local authorities to assist in buying technology and data services and working with SME and micro SME suppliers - Production of the 'Innovation Nation' web service to collate information on government funded transport technology research and development activities - Production of a guide for local authorities covering cyber security risks in the deployment of transport technology and signposting available services and resources. - Completion of research projects on behalf of Innovate UK in the areas of major technology demonstrator opportunities and working relations between local authorities and SME suppliers - Extension of secretariat support for the TTF to cover expanded TTF activity and support for the CONTACT (CONnected Transport local Authority Co-Ordination Team) public sector funders group
