Description

Somerset County Council has secured funding from the Somerset Rivers Authority (SRA) to create Somerset-specific guidance for developers to assist them in creating high quality, multi-benefit, integrated Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) when designing developments in the county. This will incorporate specific requirements from all partners involved in the planning process. The intention is that the guidance will be adopted by Somerset's local planning authorities and will set a high standard of development that integrates SuDS into a design delivering multiple benefits. The guide will also help ensure measures are taken to safeguard the long-term maintenance and operation of these drainage features. For further details of this opportunity please visit www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk
