Description

Disabled Children and Therapy Service Vision Some of the most vulnerable disabled children and young people in Cornwall are those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Disabilities. These children will be safeguarded and supported to achieve a better life for themselves and a brighter future. All disabled children and young people with disabilities are children first and have the same rights as others in their peer group to be healthy, stay safe, enjoy and achieve, have access to economic well-being and able to make a positive contribution to their communities.

The Council wishes to re-commission services for providing short break sessions to develop life skills for disabled children and young people with Aspergers /ASD.The incumbent provider has consistently worked with:

Group for 7- 11 years Approximately 50 disabled children and young people with ASD in the last 12 months

Group for 13- 18 years Approximately 60 disabled children and young people with ASD in the last 12 months. The service operates a country wide service. The service also includes some holiday activities.
