Description
The Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) wish to commission a survey on Maternity and Paternity Rights. This survey will be the 7th in a series of surveys undertaken since the late 1970s. The series aims to provide information on parents' experiences of family leave-taking and return to work, and the efficacy of policies underpinning employment rights in this area. The aims of a new Maternity and Paternity Rights Survey are as follows: ⢠To monitor the take-up of maternity and paternity benefits and change over time; ⢠To identify the effects of the legislative changes in the area of parental leave since 2009-10; ⢠To examine factors that enable women to remain in work; ⢠To explore attitudes of both fathers and mothers towards childcare responsibility and change over time.
