Description
City and Hackney 'Out of Area' Termination of Pregnancy Service: The service shall provide abortion services to women and younger females referred to any approved Provider, giving greater geographical access to women and younger females seeking abortion services. The Provider will deliver the full pathway 'Up to 24 weeks gestation'. Providers commissioned for out of area abortion services shall ensure that the overall Service is consistent, effective, comprehensive, legal and of demonstrably high quality. It shall respect the dignity, privacy, individuality and rights of women and younger females to exercise personal choice over their care and treatment. The service shall be provided in accordance with the grounds specified in the Abortion Act 1967 and amended by Section 37 of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 1990.
