Description

Daventry District Council are undertaking a programme of Fire Improvement Works to their Civic Offices within the centre of Daventry. The Civic Offices are located on Lodge Road, (NN11 4FP) on the outskirts of the town centre. The works are being undertaken to improve fire protection measures within the Civic Offices following a recent Fire Risk Assessment.

The Council intend to enter into an agreement under a new NEC3 (Engineering & Construction) Short Form Contract (ECES).

The existing Fire Doors and Ironmongery throughout the Civic Offices are in a functional condition however, the Fire Doors are suffering from heavy wear and tear. It is proposed to replace all of the existing Fire Door Leafs and Ironmongery, utilising the existing Fire Door Frames where possible. Numerous Fire Door sets are however required to locations identified on the DDC Fire Door Schedule. The Fire Doors Sets are generally required where the existing frames have been modified and are deemed beyond repair. Various Aluminium Frames also exist throughout the building, generally to the 30 minute fire rated stud partitions which also require upgrading as door sets.
