Description
This is a voluntary ex-ante transparency (VEAT) notice. This notice acknowledges that University College Cork (UCC) contracted with Evenflow SRL, for the provision of communications support, scientific advisory and technical expertise for online learning enhancement, for the Copernicus Atmospheric Monitoring Service and Copernicus Climate Change Service, under the competitively won ECMWF Service Contract CJS2_156b_UCC. Under CJS2_156b_UCC, UCC is leading a Service team to provide support to the ECMWF in implementing training events and online learning resources for the two Copernicus Services. Evenflow SRL will lead the communications activities for the overall Service contract, provide technical support to promote online and in-person training, enhance the online training offering, and contribute to the Scientific Advisory Committee. Evenflow SRL were uniquely placed in terms of skillsets, professional networks and relationships to perform this role in the overall Service contract. They specialise in the promotion, exploitation and market uptake of innovative technologies (primarily in the areas of Earth Observation and Satellite Navigation). Their role is centred on promotion and communications management of all information pertaining to training events and online learning content releases implemented by the Service, for which they are uniquely suited. Evenflow are already embedded in the ECMWF’s Copernicus community, providing communications support to the ECMWF in terms of their more general Copernicus communications. As such, they were uniquely placed to complement this Service, ensuring it can quickly and effectively align with the standards and procedures of Copernicus communications by the ECMWF. Evenflow are also technically and thematically equipped to play a key front-end role in enhancing the online Training offering of both the Copernicus Services, complementing the skills of the wider Service team with their niche user-facing expertise. In addition, with their track record in strategic advisory, and supporting the promotion, exploitation and market uptake of technologies noted above, they have the required expertise in satellite data uses, applications and business development to contribute their market perspectives to the Service’s Scientific Advisory Committee - a key Quality Control mechanism embedded within the contract Service – in addition to bringing their highly beneficial professional networks into the Service. This is in close alignment with the requirements of the overarching Service contract between UCC and the ECMWF, specifically to deliver high-quality, customised training and developing learning resources for Copernicus services that are quality controlled to a standard of high scientific rigour. The company was therefore selected to participate in the bid for the CJS2_156b ITT as their unique combination of skillsets, technical expertise, capabilities and networks complemented those of the bidding consortium, completing it’s offering to the ECMWF. They were integral to the awarded bid, and have been contracted accordingly.
