Description
*THIS ADVERT IS FOR A MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT ONLY*
NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU on behalf of NHS Birmingham & Solihull ICB are holding a market engagement event for providers interested in providing an adult non-complex audiology service in Birmingham and Solihull. The market engagement event will be held on Friday 16th January between 10am and 11am via Microsoft Teams. Providers may also request a one to one with commissioners which will be held following the initial market engagement.
The Adult Non-Complex Community Audiology service is for patients over 18 years of age, who meet the eligibility criteria set out in this specification. Patients must be registered with a Birmingham and Solihull GP practice for whom Birmingham and Solihull (BSOL) Integrated Care Board (ICB) is the responsible commissioner.
The service required is for a community based, adult screening and hearing assessment service, treatment including earwax removal and automated audiology in line with the GIRFT Community ENT Framework (August 2024), hearing aid fitting (where required), follow-up and aftercare services. BSOL ICB is seeking to commission full geographical coverage of provision across rural and urban areas.
The Provider will need to meet the needs of eligible patients whose referral indicates: • Sight loss/dual sensory loss; • Requiring translation services including language, lip reading and sign language; • Learning Disabilities – as special test facilities and techniques are needed; • Requiring domiciliary care – the Provider must provide all parts of the service at the patient’s domicile (including residential or nursing homes) where this is requested in writing by a GP.
Interested parties should ensure that they submit an expression of interest in attending the market engagement event by 15th January at 1700hrs. Please express an interest by visiting: https://atamis-1928.my.site.com/s/Welcome, and using the search functionality to search for project C408877.
