The Houses of the Oireachtas Commission (hereinafter referred to as “the Contracting Authority”) invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified candidates for the provision of an online news aggregator with searching and alerting functionality. The Contracting Authority wants to provide cost-effective, easy access to Irish and international news content for its user base via an easy-to-use web interface. The proposed service must offer access to an extensive range of news sources including international titles and with particular emphasis on strong Irish coverage, plus access to other publications including periodicals and magazines. It also requires access to edited and curated news websites and blogs, company reports, filings and profiles, as well as trade press and newswires. The total potential user base for this service is 1,000 – 1,500 users. It is possible that this user base will increase or decrease within the framework period.
