Description

Strategic Command, as part of the Ministry of Defence (MoD), are seeking expressions of interest and pre-market engagement from suppliers for a requirement. The requirement is for a service that can provide and deliver salvaged aircraft hulls and provide a secure facility that is suitable for hosting MoD-led real life airplane tactical entry training sessions. These sessions are foreseen to be needed once or twice every six months. The specification for this service is as follows: • Provide an aircraft hull from a commercial passenger aircraft. (Note: aircraft hulls will be damaged during the training sessions). • Provide and install rental landing gear for the aircraft hull. • ‘Plug’ aircraft hull for re-pressurisation. • Provide and install one over wing exit door emergency escape slide. • Remove and dispose of aircraft hull. • Provide an outdoor area that is suitable for MoD-led real life airplane tactical entry training sessions. The outdoor area must be shielded from view so that only MoD personnel are exposed to a view of the training. • Provide a suitable indoor area to prepare and run a command during each training session. • Provide secure parking for 30 vehicles. • Provide an airport fire and rescue service that can attend the site within 30 mins.
