Description
Demand Responsive Transport (Slinky) - Sedgmoore Provision for Demand Responsive Transport:
3 vehicles required to cover the geographical location on appendix 1. Contract Vehicles; associated maintenance; fuel provided. Please factor into your bid the associated costs of cash handling. See attached Slinky Contract documentation for detailed information of terms and conditions to supplement standard DPS terms and conditions of supply, standard templates and district zone information for areas and days of Service provision. Appendix 1 within the Slinky Contract contains detailed mapping of the geographical areas covered on which days, along with the location of each vehicle. As part of the contract, we will require the winning bidder to submit Data Return Sheets by the 15th of each month, copies of which are attached (Appendix 3). Prompt submission of returns will enable SC to analyse services across the life of the contract.
Tenders are separate for each district area of the County, however, variant/multiple bids encompassing two (or more) district areas are welcomed and more than one tender response can be submitted by the Supplier. In the event of a variant bid - please upload your proposal as an attachment and make clear the basis of the combined offer by tailoring your quality question responses and price entries accordingly. As part of your bid, please supply:
Daily rate for core service hours for Slinky DRT only (There will be a 'day rate' item for you to enter rate)
Hourly rate for running additional routed public service journeys at the beginning and end of each day (Example: Scheduled journeys into Strode college AM & PM), scheduled to fit in around the Demand Responsive Service. This will only be required if a need arose within a specified Slinky geographical area and may change over the life of the contract (Please enter hourly rate in the questionnaire section, under 5: Additional / Reduced Miles)
Dependant on future funding opportunities, please confirm whether you have the resources available to extend the Demand Responsive Service to accommodate evenings and Saturdays. If yes, please submit an hourly rate as part of your bid (Please enter hourly rate in the questionnaire section, under 5: Additional / Reduced Miles)
Dependant on future funding opportunities, there may be a requirement to introduce new technology and back-office systems which would provide enhancements such as real time information, an App or on-line booking systems and cashless payment. As part of your bid, please confirm whether you agree to work with SC in the event of new technology being introduced, if funding is secured during the contract period. The winning bidder would not incur the costs of any new technology and support/training would be provided to accommodate this.
Service to begin on 01/09/2024. Contract end date is 31/08/2026.
The Authority may extend this Call-Off Contract by two (2) further one (1) year periods. If the Authority wishes to extend this Call-Off Contract, it shall give the Approved Supplier not less than thirty (30) days' written notice.
