The new contract will need to be in place on 1st April 2025 to ensure Somerset Council meets its statutory obligations under the Care Act to: • Promote greater choice and control for people in what care and support services they receive so that they can live their life the way they want to. • Ensure a more diverse market of care and support services that responds to people’s needs and choices, that places a strong emphasis on quality.
