This service is mandated under several key legislative frameworks: • Children Act 1989 (as amended) • Children Act 2004 • Children and Social Work Act 2017 • Southwark Judgement (2009) • Homelessness Reduction Act 2018 As of October 2023, Supported Accommodation is regulated by Ofsted. Mild learning disabilities - enhanced support for daily living and learning. 4. UASC - support with language, cultural integration, and life skills. 5. Expected outcomes align with Ofsted's principles: • Young people feel safe and secure in their environment. • Their voices are heard and respected. • Support staff are skilled, understanding, and collaborative. • Accommodation is comfortable, stable, and well-maintained. • Support sustains health and wellbeing. • Relationships are trusting and meaningful. • Young people are prepared for independent living. • They feel positive about their future.
