The collection and disposal of Clinical Waste for all NHS Wales Hospitals and Sites. NWSSP Procurement Services (NWSSP) is undertaking a Preliminary Market Engagement Notice (PMEN) on behalf of NHS Wales to gather insights and feedback from potential suppliers for the collection, transportation, and disposal of clinical waste across its facilities in Wales. This PMEN aims to inform the development of a future procurement strategy, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and cost-effectiveness. NHS Wales operates a network of hospitals, clinics, and healthcare facilities generating various types of clinical waste, including infectious, hazardous, and non-hazardous waste. The safe and compliant collection, transportation, treatment, and disposal of this waste is critical to maintaining public health, environmental standards, and operational efficiency.
